Heads-Up Limit Coaching

I offer HU limit coaching to beginning and intermediate players. If you are looking to learn HU limit, perhaps coming from a 6-max limit background, or a regular player up to 3/6 or 5/10 online who would like to work on your game, then perhaps I can help.

I charge $90 for a 1-hour session, and offer discounts for block bookings. If you are interested, please get in contact and we can work something out!

About The Coaching Sessions

If you are already playing HU games, then for our first session I will ask you to record a short 15-20 minute recording of you playing your normal game, narrating your play, and asking any questions as you go. I will review the video, then we can meet up online on Skype and review the match. We will discuss the key areas that come up from the video, and I can get an idea of where you are in your game, and where to go from there.

If you are new you heads up, then I offer a more class-style teaching session where we can quickly cover the basic rules and strategy of your HU game and get your up and playing in the games.

Because I’m a full-time player in the games myself, I can also help a lot with the non-strategy parts of the game that’s so important to becoming a successful HU limit player, including bankroll management, site selection, player selection, quitting, opponent classification, multi-tabling and stop-losses.

About Me

I’ve been playing poker semi-professionally or full time for 7 years. Since 2009, HU limit has been my main game, and as of January 2011 I’ve logged around 350k hands of strictly HUHU and 150k hands of 3-6 handed. My lifetime winrate is around 3BB/100 heads up, which covers around 20k hands at 1/2 and 2/4, a lot of 3/6 on $1 rake-cap sites, and 4BB/100 from 5/10 up. I now play stakes between 5/10 and 15/30.

Nearing the end of 2009, I took on a student and taught him in the secret ways of the HUHU. We worked on his game from the ground up, and he was soon beating the low and mid-stakes games. Pleased with the result and the feedback I’ve got, I decided to open things up to a couple of other students.
